Customized Food Safety Plans
SustainChains provides businesses with the necessary resources to start a new food safety program or improve an existing one. We will work with you to develop customized Standard Operating Procedures, Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP Plans, and food safety programs that comply with all regulatory agencies.
Audit Preparation
We are a food safety consultant with years of experience helping companies meet all food safety regulations and audit schemes, including PrimusGFS, SQF, BRC, USDA Organic, HALAL, GMP, and Global Gap. Our team of consultants will organize and coordinate the audit so you can focus on your business.
Document Review
SustainChains ensures all documentation is compliant with the audit scheme’s stipulated guidelines. We review the monitoring documents, correct them, and help you improve.
Regulatory Agencies
SCG assists clients with all regulatory agency requirements. Such as, submitting plans to local health department to get permits for new processes within the facility. Obtaining various business licenses; responding to calls from the FDA, DPR (Department of Pesticide Regulation), as well as state and county health departments.
Organic Certification
SCG, can help clients create, or update an existing organic plan. SCG can customize an organic program for growers, handlers and distributors. SCG will help clients implement organic procedures, establish organic and conventional product segregation, create SSOPs, train employees, create labels, collect and review all supplier organic documents, book an organic audit and run audit for organic clients.
SOP / SSOP:
SCG Food Safety will create Standard Operating Procedures, "SOPs," to describe your company’s food safety related operations. We will also provide monitoring logs for SOPs as necessary. Our consultants are on site weekly to monitor your record keeping. We will also develop customized Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures, or "SSOPs," for all applicable areas and equipment in your facility. Our consultants will advise your team on proper chemical usage, effective cleaning procedures, chemical dilution, master cleaning logs, SDS records and PPE.
Internal Audits:
SCG will perform all mandatory internal inspections to ensure you stay in compliance. This includes an internal inspection of your facility, chemical inventory logs, pest control logs, glass and plastic policy, and food defense plan. We will work with your management team to identify corrections that must be made to guarantee your company maintains a strong food safety program.
Training:
SCG, will create a training schedule to accommodate your company’s busy schedule. The training is based on your company’s operations and, if necessary, can be tailored to each department. All training material will be presented in your employees’ preferred language. We will also maintain the training records and present them during the audit. We will also provide sanitation training in your employees’ preferred language.
Monitoring Logs:
SCG Food Safety will ensure all monitoring logs are up to date and in compliance with your audit scheme. Our consultants will review the logs, highlight any mistakes and help your company identify and complete the necessary corrective actions.
